Service Description: Flood hazards categorised as low, medium or high. This identifies where ponding is likely to occur on average once in 100 years. 

Terms and Conditions of Use:

Liability:

1.    Use of this viewer is entirely at the risk of the user.
2.    Hamilton City Council (“HCC”) reserves the right to change the content and/or presentation of any of the flood information contained in the viewer at its sole discretion and without notice, including these notes and disclaimer.
3.    The preparation and provision of the information has been made in good faith using Waikato Regional Council river flood data and HCC urban flood data. While all due care has been taken, HCC does not give any warranty regarding the availability, accuracy, completeness, currency or reliability of the information. Floodviewer may be unavailable at times without notice due to maintenance.
4.    HCC and its employees, while providing this information in good faith, accept no responsibility or liability for any error, omission, or inaccuracy of the information. 
5.    HCC and its employees accept no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage, injury, or loss in value to any person, property, service or otherwise resulting from use or reliance on the information. 
6.    By using the viewer, the user acknowledges the Terms and Conditions of Use and waives and releases HCC from any claims arising from use of this viewer or the information provided by it.  

Accuracy:

1.    While the information has been quality controlled, its accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Accordingly, the information should not be relied upon as the sole basis for the making of any decision in relation to potential flood risk. HCC recommends having the information provided by Floodviewer interpreted by a practitioner suitably qualified and experienced in flood risk assessment and hazard management
2.    The flood information shown does not necessarily reflect the greatest extent of flooding experienced in the past, or likely to be experienced in the future. The maps will be extended and updated as new information becomes available.
3.    While HCC has done its best to provide accurate information, we request that any suspected errors be reported to HCC.

2.    The information is derived from a variety of sources and may include intellectual property of third parties.
